Wayfinder: The Roleplaying Game Quest - After Life

A small excerpt of full the 8.2K Word Count Adventure I was contracted to write for the Wayfinder: The Roleplaying Game core rulebook.

Using mechanics and language which positively reinforced the system proprietary 'Exploration Dice' mechanics found within Wayfinder, I wrote a quest which involved post-death Player Characters together exploring through the unfamiliar beyond of 'The After', an ephemeral representation of every afterlife ever speculated.

Item Descriptions

Consumables & Equipment - Item Descriptions

Two tables worth of Item Descriptions for a Fantasy and Science Fiction setting respectively, both comprised entirely of my own writing and design.

Each listed item contains two written excerpts; one of a more humorous tone, and the other of  a more descriptive nature. These item descriptions are inspired by traditional RPG's such as the Fallout series, Outer Worlds, & Skyrim - as well as CRPG's such as Baldur's Gate 3, Disco Elysium, and Divinity Original Sin: II.

Vampire Themed POV's - Spoken Dialogue & Written Text

Two POV's worth of Item Description 'Journal' Text // Spoken Dialogue regarding various items found within the world of a Vampire themed RPG of my own design.

Each listed item contains two written excerpts; one belonging to a younger 'kindred' Vampyre POV - and the other belonging to an older Hunter POV. These descriptions and general tone of writing is heavily inspired by folk lore & vampire gaming touchstones such as Vampire: The Masquarade, Vampyre, and The Wolf Among Us.

In-Game Literature - Books as Questing Mediums

Two tables worth of 'Books' or other in-game text documents; one of humourous tonality and the other of a more dramatic and morose one.

Each listed 'Book' contains a title, a small one-line of dialogue or flavor text spoken by the player character upon interaction, and a short excerpt regarding potential usages of the 'book' in gameplay, questing, or other enviromental context. These in-game documents are heavily inspired by similar writings in The Witcher Series, Baldur's Gate 3, and Skyrim.
